Miss Lucy

Hello!  This month has been a little bit of a roller coaster.  I'm many of you know, but my sweet little niece has been in the hospital for an extended stay.  There are several tests being run all the time, and the doctors think they might finally be close to figuring out the problem.  So, fingers still crossed, and prayers still going please.  Thanks!

In happier news, have you heard about our new baby?  Jay and I are parents now!  Well.... we're puppy parents at least.  Earlier in the week, I was at school and saw a commotion outside of the school.  I went over to see what was going on, and I was surprised to see a little puppy playing with the students!  I asked if she belonged to any of the kids playing with her, and they all said no.  Another teacher and myself continued asking students if she belonged to them or if anyone knew where she lived, and the answer was always no.  I called Jay and told him I wanted to bring her home, and he reluctantly agreed, as long as I clean up her poop and she stays off the couch.  :)  Hooray!

A friend of mine offered to house her at his house until the end of the school day, so we took her there for the day.  After school, I picked her up and took her to the vet to see if she was chipped.  There was no chip for her, so I was happy!  Lucy got a bath, a bunch of toys, and a collar, and Jay and I got a fun puppy in the house!

Sure... she's had some accidents, but she's only four months old, so that's to be expected.  Yesterday, though, she only had one, and today she hasn't had any!  Progress?  Fluke?  Don't know, but we're hoping progress!  We've found out that she loves to play with my parents dogs, and that she also loves to play fetch and chew on her Nylabone.  Right now, she is passed out on the rug.  Super cute.

We're still house hunting, and we're both pretty tired of it.  We know the right house is out there, we'd just appreciate it if we could find it sooner than later.  *Remain positive*
